Noreen Malone is an editor at the New York Times. Before that, she hosted a season of Slate's Slow Burn podcast. Previously, she worked as the editorial director of New York magazine. There, she shepherded features, essays, and packages that received National Magazine Awards and sparked bidding wars for the film and television rights. As a writer, Noreen has won a George Polk Award for magazine reporting and the Newswomen’s Club Award for in-depth reporting. She has also twice been a finalist for the Mirror Award in profile writing. Previously, she was a staff writer for the New Republic, and hosted Slate's popular podcast on gender. Noreen is a native of Cleveland, a graduate of Georgetown University, and lives in Brooklyn.
